What happened to Waltke's Hebrew Syntax? It was listed a few days ago but now it's not.
It seems as if there are a couple of drop outs, yet no significant replacements. Hamilton's "God's Indwelling Presence" was not... present either.
There were a couple of mistakes made last year - perhaps they were omitted by mistake and will be replaced when someone from LOGOS sees this. Mistakes were corrected last year.

Keep, are you stating this correct? it was replaced by the intro to biblical hebrew syntax? or that syntax was replaced?
Oops [:$] + Thanks: edited earlier reply.

Looks like they made it even less appealing. They seem intent to fill the brackets with over-priced, esoteric T&T Clark studies.
I ended up only voting for 5 works out of the 64.
Looks like they made it even less appealing.
Last year it was funnier :-)
This time, after Christmas Collection stuff (I could not buy) and Twitter Sales (I bought some), there seems to be nothing interesting to put on Sales.
Going back to Pre-pubs and Community Pricing waiting line.
Waltke/O'Connor was the one volume I was seriously interested in [:'(]
Waltke/O'Connor was the one volume I was seriously interested in
Ditto for me. That was actually the only one I was interested in. I guess it will have to wait until a future birthday/Christmas/academic discount if I ever work on more seminary classes.
Our tabs are flying openvotes are being castwill we get our books this time?
No kidding! I can't beleive that took out "An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax." It, along with the "Socio-Rhetorical Commentary of Acts" are the only titles I was interested in. I am going to wait a few days a few hours before voting. Perhaps some mistake has been made and "An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax" will make it back on the list.

I wasn't thrilled with the selection myself. I imagine they're trying to pick the types of books that would be desired by the greatest number of users which means that those with more academic interests don't find much that is appealing.
Same here. It is very disappointing!
I did notice that I can vote multiple times by going to different computers. Apparently votes are tracked with cookies - can I eliminate my cookies and vote forever? I would think they would track votes by username - not what I voted for. but that I did vote.
I also note that only 350-400 people have voted so far. Does anyone remember how many participants we had last year?
I used to crush my cookies for some polls, but I gave that up a long time ago.
They also left out "God's Indwelling Presence: The Holy Spirit in the Old and New Testaments". I don't know if it is any good, but I liked the title. Not much to vote for.

I'm kind of happy the selection is what it is. At least I won't have to fret over how to pay for more books. [:)]
i like a lot of them. I have a lot of them. I voted. I am surprised Black's commentaries are not scoring higher.

Every cloud has a silver lining, no?
Same [:(]

Same
My problem is that when I find something interesting, I also realize that I already own it (such as Waltke & O'Connor).
That's funny. As I perused some of the other titles I was interested in, I checked my library and found them already there. It appears that I will be spending less money. (And then I wondered, why I wasn't already reading them...)
Not really...at least others get to have fun and I get to vote for the heck of it...hehehe. I'll probably get Lenski's volume on Mark for his excellent defense of Mark's longest ending and Soci-Rhetorical on Acts...I want to see what this Soci thing is all about. I've read good reviews by several. The important thing is not about winning but about playing the game.

... and I really cannot believe what others are paying for my many opportunities to vote. I may be able t pick up the Portfolio with the money I am making. ... NOT!!!
i like a lot of them. I have a lot of them. I voted. I am surprised Black's commentaries are not scoring higher. Maybe that's because people picked up Black's during the Christmas sale? I know I picked up a number of volumes then.
dang. it stinks being poor. you may be right! I avoided those sales.
No doubt the quality of the March Madness sale is down. Could it be that Logos is not putting as much emphasis on these annual expected sales, but going to a different sales strategy?
There seems to be frequent offerings of great resources at a bargain price, but not 75% off. Maybe Logos feels these more frequent sales, where they control the discount, is a more profitable sales strategy.

Maybe - but it is not nearly as fun. [:)]
Please vote for Martin Hengel's "Studies in Early Christology"!
Hengel's studies have been nothing less than groundbreaking in New Testament scholarship and belong to the finest contributions to theology on a high academic level that have been made in the last decades. It's hard to find anything else this profound on this issue.
Unfortunately, academic books from originally non-English speaking countries are often very expensive, so 'March Madness' could make a real difference here! As for now, Berkhof's Systematic Theology is on top of the voting list - and while there's nothing wrong with that (on the contrary), remember it goes back to 1938, you get it at an already cheaper price, and it is mostly of interest for people belonging to Reformed churches, whereas titles like Hengel's are crucial for everyone who wants to do studies on this important issue, no matter what confessional background one has.
Very little to get even mildly enthusiastic about in this list.
If you want that, why didn't you buy it for 50% off during Christmas?
As for now, Berkhof's Systematic Theology is on top of the voting list
Berkhof is the only book in the Theology section that wasn't in the 50% off Christmas Deal. Plus it was the only Berkhof book that wasn't in the Master Collection. There's bound to be quite a few people who want their Berkhof collection complete. (Admittedly, it was on the 12 Days, though, so they could still have bought it for a good price, but I imagine many Master's buyers didn't have any money left for it at that time.)
it is mostly of interest for people belonging to Reformed churches
In case you haven't noticed: "Reformed" churches are much bigger and more frequent in America than in Europe!
(Actually, I did vote for Hengel, but only because I used some spare votes to promote 'good' books, hoping they'd sell at least a few copies more if they're cheaper. If it begins to threaten 'my' OT and NT books, I'll turn against it!
Because it was around Christmas I bought my first L4 base package (before that I was only using the SESB with L4) and I simply wasn't aware that there had been a sale for Hengel's book.
Good point.
[:D] I'm pretty much aware of this fact and, even though I belong to a Lutheran church and have a Wesleyan background, I studied under some of Europe's leading Reformed theologians - so, nothing against Berkhof! However, the case is still the same: exegetical studies on Christology could address an even wider group of people than the already pretty big community of American Reformed denominations and churches.
Yep. A little breathing room for the pre-pubs I have coming.
Then you missed out on 2.010 books at 50% off -- or $1 each if you bought all of them! Unfortunately 44 out of the 64 books now was in that deal as well, which is why so many complain they can't find anything they want.
I'm pretty much aware of this fact
I thought you were. I should have put a [:P] at the end.
(Please vote for the Jewish NT Commentary if you have a vote free.)
It got my vote - currently it's hanging on to seventh place so hopefully will make it to the next round
Well, I wish I had 2.010 dollars to spend on books ... [|-)]
I thought you were. I should have put a at the end.
No hard feelings! [:P]
Done! [:)]
My feeling as well... was hard to find even 1 volume in some lists to vote for... Looks like March sanity for me... no madness.

You don't know how relieved I am about that Bill. [;)]
