Which titles are you going to be voting for?
Well I voted but my boys don't look to hot. And Feedburner didn't work. But it's a lot of fun!
I was going to vote for "An Introductin to Biblical Hebrew Syntax." What happen to it? [:'(]
The only title I will vote for now is "The Acts of the Apostles: A Socio-Rhetorical Commentary"
Selfishly disappointed that "An Introductin to Biblical Hebrew Syntax" did not show up in the bracket as "promised." I was hoping to pick that tool up at a discount. Thankful that I did not purchase Barrick's Comments when tempted to do so via the Home Page ad! Simply voting for friends now.
Please vote for Martin Hengel's "Studies in Early Christology"!
Hengel's studies have been nothing less than groundbreaking in New Testament scholarship and belong to the finest contributions to theology on a high academic level that have been made in the last decades. It's hard to find anything else this profound on this issue.
Unfortunately, academic books from originally non-English speaking countries are often very expensive, so 'March Madness' could make a real difference here! As for now, Berkhof's Systematic Theology is on top of the voting list - and while there's nothing wrong with that (on the contrary), remember it goes back to 1938, you get it at an already cheaper price, and it is mostly of interest for people belonging to Reformed churches, whereas titles like Hengel's are crucial for everyone who wants to do studies on this important issue, no matter what confessional background one has.
My apologies for using the word "promised" in my earlier comment. I put that word in quotes not to imply sarcasm or disrespect; I am sorry if it was taken that way by anyone at Logos. I certainly do not think I am owed any type of a discount for any book. I was soley attempting to communicate that it was on the initial list, but then removed for reasons known to Logos whom I trust. A little disappointed, yes; but I am not in the least upset or angry as that word might be interpreted to convey.
