Placement of Resources: Which Tile?

Logos uses its own intuition whenever you open a new resource in your Layout. The program places newly opened resources in tiles where it thinks they belong. Great. But what if you had something else in mind. You can't tell Logos where YOU want the new book / tool to go.

What if every menu bar [somewhere alongside of the 3 circles icon] had a "push-pin" icon (or something like that). It could be off by default but could be activated with a click. When activated, it would simply inform Logos that whatever resource / tool is opened next must be placed in THIS tile. Then the icon would revert to its default (off) setting.

How easy it would then be to arrange Logos books wherever you want them - the first time. Even floating windows could be made much easier to build up. Logos probably has something in planning or development already, but I had this idea so ...

Yes, you can. You can drag it directly to where you want it, before Logos has a chance to intuit where it thinks the resource should go.

If opening a tool from the Tools menu, drag the name of the tool until you get the blue rectangle where you want it.

If opening a book from the command bar, type the first few letters or words of the title until you see the correct match in the dropdown list, and then drag the title from there until you get the blue rectangle where you want it.

Ditto if opening a resource from the Library menu or tab. Rather than clicking on its title, drag it.

Still, I like your pushpin idea, to make a tile the current tile for opening all resources/tools in, as long as the pushpin is activated.
