I'm considering getting an iPhone - Will Logos 4 Work?
I know absolutely nothing about iphones, but am eligible for an upgrade and was looking at this one.
Apple iPhone 3GS - 8 GB
I'm also required to purchase a data plan, but I don't know which one would work best for Logos 4. My options are:
Datapro 4GB/month
Datapro 2GB/month
Datapro 200mg/month.
I have the platinum package and have never used an apple before.
I'm really in the dark here because I don't even know what questions to ask. Until now, except for a few text messages, I use my cell phone for something old fashioned - making a phone call.
Any help or input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron

Logos has a free application for iPhone use => http://www.logos.com/mobile/iphone (download from iTunes store). Also can use http://Biblia.com
Data plan depends on usage, including web browsers and other applications (e.g. Mail, Maps, News, etc). Many iOS applications use network connection for information and advertising (especially free applications).
Logos application has option for offline use (download resources for airplane use). Network connection (WiFi or 3G data) needed to download Logos resources, Passage Guide, Bible Word Study, Search (fast - done on Logos servers), Library (show all available resources), and Home page updates (including reading plans and offline resource updates). When offline (no network), library has offline (airplane) resources you have chosen along with local search (slower, but usable).

If you can hold off, I would. It is very likely that when we get closer to the upgrade of a new iPhone the iPhone 4 will drop to the prices of the 3GS you are looking at. Wait till June if you can. I am still sure there will be an new one this summer despite what we in the tech press are saying based on an unfounded rumor. Either way if you can wait, do. The iPhone 4 is much better than the 3GS. Speed camera quality and especially screen clarity which is big thin when reading the small print of an iPhone Bible app. All the antenna junk was over blown. I know I helped over blow it.
