BUG: 4.3 Beta 1 froze while in the background

I know we had a cold front pass through last night, but I did not expect L4 Mac to freeze? [8-|] (If you can't smile at the bugs, you just might cry)

L4 Mac had been in the background for a couple of hours. When I attempted to switch there to answer a question in the forum, the pizza began to spin. Activity Monitor revealed 3 instances of L4 running. Forced the other two to quit, but that did not unfreeze what should have been the active instance. Forced it to quit also.

This may not be the same problem, but I did not wish to proliferate frozen threads any further.

While working on a NT Sentence Diagram, noticed that L4 was becoming increasingly slow. Finally quit the application normally and attempted to restart. However, it never made it to the logging in window (at least I did not see it). Finally, force quit from the Activity Monitor.
