Failed Updates

Support,
Ever since I upgrades to the latest beta I have not been able to install resource updates successfully. Now, each time I start Logos the blue update icon never completes the update download. Attached are my logs. Thanks.
Dave

Alan,
Thanks for the solution. I downloaded and installed the application again but am still having trouble with the updates. Currently, my download is stuck at 26% on a 6.7MB download. I have had this issue ever since I upgraded to the latest version. If anyone else has any ideas, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Developers are looking into this problem and will try to have a fix in the next beta. If you could attach your log files to this thread, they might provide additional information to them. Also, what Mac OS version is installed on your Mac?

Like others who are using 4.3 Beta 1 (4.30.0.0130) I have encountered the persistent problem of the program attempting to download some update and reaching a certain point only to stop. I found this morning that this problem appears to prevent me from acquiring new resources that I have purchased as well as blocking updates to the program itself and already existing resources. Today I purchased a new book and then I executed an ‘update resources’ command to download the new purchase (no other download was in progress at the time). The software attempted to download the new book, but froze the download at a certain point (90% of a 16.5 MB file in this case, though with other updates the program seemed to stop at around 6% of the update.
As I said, I know that the general resource updating problem has already been documented, but I had not noticed that anyone had clearly stated that this happens with newly purchased resources, so I thought that I should add this fact to the discussion.
By the way, am I correct that the only way around this problem currently is to wipe out my copy of Logos and install a fresh copy of the stable (i.e. non-beta) version?

David,
I have had some luck in just cancelling the download and repeatedly closing/opening Logos to let it automatically restart, for some reason after a few goes it has seemed to work for me.

Yes and No. One option: download resource files (web link is in Indexer.log) to desktop (or folder on desktop), then use scan command and restart Logos 4 Mac. See forum Particular Download frozen Another option is wiki Downloading.
Wiki has Want to downgrade from Beta to Stable; observation: anticipating Logos 4.3 Beta 2 later this week.

I ended up canceling and restarting the download until most of it was complete. I had about a GB of download so it took several hours. I appreciate the comments that allowed me to know that it at least was possible. Also, I didn't realize that you could find the resource file links in the indexer.log so i will try that next. I just purchased a resource today and will go that direction. Thanks all for helping me out.
