Problem making books available offline

Is there anyway to see the size of a book that we want to make available offline?  I've been trying to get The Complete Works of Francis Schaeffer to be available offline, always failing.  I am wondering if it is a size issue?  What other issues could it be?

    Andrew,

Search the forum. One of the tech/developers answered that question earlier. It is a little larger than the actual L4 file on the computer. Others have recommended that you sync with iTunes and you can go into the apps tab of iTunes and keep count of the size of the Logos app. It will increase as you add resources. Right now my Logos App is 13.9 MB in size and that is with a couple or so commentaries for each book of the bible, the important lexicons for greek and hebrew, Bible dictiionaries, and other monographs that I am reading.

Oooh... so how do I find out how large my iPhone app is? I am curious as I have downloaded quite a few of my books.

    Thanks! [:D]

Forum How to report crashes describes where to look for crash reports.

Forum Size of book downloads on iPhone/iPad has Logos developer insight.

Logos Support Q: What are the actual download sizes for fresh installs of Logos 4 base packages? has resource size of Logos 4 base packages (not all available for iOS use).

What other issues could it be?

Wonder about network connectivity during download ?

To download some resources on an iPad, needed to set screen lock to Never along with plugging in power adapter.  Also double clicked home button, then closed other programs running in background (tap and hold until applications wiggle, then tap red minus to close) to free up memory for Logos use.

    Keep Smiling [:)]

Currently not know.  On an iPad, wish for airplane icon with # resources appeared in Library header bar (opposite side from Find).  Likewise wish Account settings showed # of resources available offline for Logos account along with space used.

General settings on iOS device shows total available space.

    Keep Smiling [:)]

Some books refuse to download, although others in the set download OK, e.g. one of the Mueller books downloaded, the next I tried didn't.  One book I tried 2 or 3 times without success.  Any suggestions?  One thing I need to do is note the titles of the books I can't download, which I will do next time I'm on wifi.

It looks like the main problems were either an internet connection (seems to need a very stable, non-"blinking" connection) or a timing out.  I assume that it was the size of that file that was taking too long and it was easily getting bumped.

All is well now.  Loving the ability to read these books on iPad.  So much nicer than reading on laptop.  Feels like I'm back into the books again.
