How will Logos handle the complete ISV for L4?

I see that the completed ISV is on pre-pub. I am wondering how Logos intends to handle it when it comes out. Since the ISV NT is already in all the Logos base packages, will there be an option to purchase the OT alone, will Logos just upgrade L4 users to the full version free of charge, or will everyone who wants it have to purchase the complete version. On pre-pub, the price is very reasonable, but I'd really prefer not to pay for something I if I don't have to. On the other hand, if I'm going to have to buy it anyway, I'd rather do so at the pre-pub price.

I hope someone can give me an answer.

I have a similar hesitation but it is due to paying for versions twice in the past.

In the past I have purchased new bible translations only to have them appear as part of the upgrade/crossgrade (whatever they call it) between major versions so in effect, when buying the upgrade, I have paid twice for these versions. While not full price, it has become apparent that I would have been better to wait. As a result, I am kinda of the opinion.

There have been updates to the NT as well as part of the completion of the ISV, so buying the OT only isn't a possibility. I don't see it being a free upgrade either...although I assume it is likely to be included in future base package upgrades as Clinton mentioned. I'm in on the pre-pub...I want to get the complete ISV in Logos as soon as possible. I'm using it as my primary Bible right now in the form of a Word document.

I don't know. There are a number of cases where the deuterocanonical books are available for a translation but they are not available in Logos. I'll ask Logos to reply in this thread.

Just to clarify, the NT/Psalms edition is not the same as the NT-only edition that comes with the base packages, correct? The edition I have has only the NT, it does not contain Psalms and Proverbs.

yeah, i missed this until the post prior to yours brought that up. I had only pre-ordered the whole. Thankful I can just buy the OT. However, I wonder how many out there did what I did and I wonder if Logos can make a smoother transition for those folks, instead of them having to "catch" that they ordered the whole bible and not just the OT--and then going through the delete/add process, or worse, after publication going through sales or customer service to rectify the problem.

Also, FYI, there is only a link to the OT/ISV offer, found on the "whole ISV" product page. There is no product page for the OT/ISV by itself. clicking on the link takes you directly to the "check out" of the OT/ISV.

Has anyone heard about when the OT only version will be shipping? It shows as gathering interest on the account page and clicking the link takes you to a page that says "That is not a product we currently sell." With the full version scheduled to ship next monday I find this a bit confusing.

I imagine it will ship the same time as the whole enchilada. There would certainly be no reason for it not to. 'Gathering Interest' probably means nothing for this pre-pub since it is the OT alone that is being newly produced. We should get it at the same time as those expecting the whole ISV Bible.

I see that the ISV website states 2.0 (not sure if that refers to having completed the OT, or if that includes updates to the NT. If the latter does the the free NT version that Logos gave have those updates.

Also, strangely if one purchases the ISV it is $10.00, but if one clicks on the link below to pre-order the OT (btw - the $10.00 ISV states it includes OT and NT ), it's $16.95. One would think that the OT would be in the $5-7 range.

The pre-order link was left up in error. It should have been taken down. As for the cost… Logos has moved several translations to the $10 mark where they had previously been in the $40 range.
