I purchased the gold upgrade, my new license came through and updated, but no files, yes I have tried closing and restarting the program, but no new resource updates to version 4.
Any suggestions?
I'm guessing since it hasn't even been officially launched yet that some problems might go away soon. Is this a problem with not being able to download resources from the servers?

I'm in the same position, Logos 4 needs to download all of the resources that you own again. If you leave Logos open it will download the resources. In my toolbar I have a little monitor which tells me how much data needs to be downloaded and how far through the process it is. Leave Logos open and a notification should pop up for you.

whyndell, did you get a link to http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe and did you run it and sign in?
at what stage of the install are you?
It could take five minutes before anything happen. Then you will see an little blue icon in the taskbar telling Logos 4 is downloading. When that's done you have to click to install and the first time you run it you have to wait for an indexing process before you can use your library.
You will find it worth it!

I used Dominic's link to download 4- it is installed, but I still am unable to get any resources, and it did not replace my version 3.0f it is still a separate program.
No indexing of any sort has started
I also notice they have no account information or libronix upgrade links like in the old version.
How do you sync licenese, etc. ?
My best guess is that you haven't logged on to the cloud with your Logos.com account in Logos 4 yet.
Also, Logos 4 does not remove version 3. You can run both on the same machine.
The Account Management and Upgrade functions should be handled automatically. You can type "Update now" in the command bar if you want to check again. This is probably the closest thing to the old Libronix Update, but version 4 usually catches updates on its own.
v3 and 4 are seperate programs
You should have in your program by a blue icon (logos symbol) called "Logos Bible Software 4", if vista is on the start menu>all programs, not your red one.
if you cant see the sign in window hold the left CTRL key while the program starts, should force the login window up..

Ok got the upgrade understood- it does not upgrade 3 but installs a new version of 4.
But I still do not have aby resources and have found no way in 4 to obtain them , what next?
leave it open for 5 mins and see if the blue logos icon appears down by the clock it should be saying downloading
if that doesnt work you can force it (but you shouldn't need to) but either way there will be a period of time where the program seems to be doing nothing
I am signed in- when it starts it says setting up my library- but just jumps to home page in a mtter of seconds.
When you first started up Logos 4, it should have asked for your Account name and password. This should be your Logos.com account and password, I believe. When you enter it in, it should connect you with your Logos.com account, which already has a record of everything you have bought from them, as well as any Libronix CD's and DVD's you have activated and even old Logos 2 stuff if you have used the "Sychronize Licences" command in 3.0. At this point, it should say that it is preparing your library.
Is something like this happening for you?

Is there a little blue icon with a magnifing glass looking at a cross on your toolbar?

Second; you're gonna love v4. yes...this indexing thing might take awhile but once its' done it works pretty slick. I bought a book recently and it downloaded it automatically and I didn't even know it happened...it was weird...

I have been working in La. And Miss. For the past 15 months, after being laid-off in Florida, it was the only place that had a job. Guys believe when I say after 30 years of marriage it is not fun being away from your wife, man what a bummer. But we did manage to pay off a lot of debt, even though I had to cancel all my per-pubs and comm. Pricing, it was worth it. I was laid-off last Wed 10/28/09 and am now back home, have been dating my wife every night, what a blessing.
I have no prospects for employment at the moment, but the unemployment will help, so pray for me as I look for a “local” job, I pray no more out of towners.
My wife was very gracious when she saw me looking at the Logos 4 this morning, told me to upgrade my Gold, she had me covered, man what a woman [Y]

I was going to comment too about not having any resources, but I see the blue icon on the taskbar now. Eesh, 6 GB to download. This could take a while. Too bad it couldn't just find the files on my computer.

The resources have been updated, optimized in some cases corrected and are significantly smaller, so even if you could use your v3 ones, Logos 4 would still download them as an updated resource, it will also download any resource on the server you have a licence to but not found on your PC.
Logos 4 only downloads the updated resources, it doesn't download everything again, if a L3 resource on your system is the latest version, it does not redownload it, it pulls that one into the library and uses it
All resources are rebuilt for Logos 4. Thats why you have to download them.
Not only is that why you have to download them, but that is why you WANT to download them. You will be glad you did.
Warning: Indexing will also take quite a while, but you will be glad you did that too.

In my case it seems to be downloading 10.4 GB. Is it really necessary to download everything again? That is going to take a very long time...and for people who dont have broadband, that might be impossible.

Logos 4 only downloads updated resources, thats probably almost the whole package as almost every resource has been rebuilt, however if there is no logos4 optimised resource, it doesn't download the L3 resource again, it will use your local one and import it into the library and uses that one
L3 is on my system, and it was fully updated a few days ago. I dont know why it is downloading so much.

every resource in the base packages has been rebuilt as have many other resources (all the SESB stuff for example).
The amount that is downloaded is connected to how many resources you have.
Also, the Media resources are 2GB in an of themselves - and they are well worth it.
