Has anyone else experienced crashes when typing in the Shortcuts section? As soon as I type a command and it starts a search, I get a message that Logos 4 has stopped working? Never had this problem before??
Nicky,
Please activate Diagnostic Logging and upload the logs (as they are after Logos has stopped working but before reopening it) to this thread - some of the experienced users can have a look at them.
Thanks for the reply Theo... this is crash file that was created. (added) just noticed you said 'logs'.. so added the other one.
2112.Logos4.log
6560.Logos4Crash.txt
Now you only have to wait for someone like KS4J to look at it (I'm not that good in this specific area ...)! [:)]
lol..no worries [H]
Your crash report indicates that one of your databases is corrupt. I'm not certain if I'm reading the logs right but there is a mention of your layout manager database. With Logos off go to C:\Users\Nicky\AppData\Local\Logos4\Documents\di1qdtr2.xhc\LayoutManager and move the two items in that folder to your desktop. Restart Logos and try to recreate the crash.
If it works, great, delete the files you moved to your desktop. If it crashes again restore the files (deleting any ones that Logos made when it started up) and report back that my log reading skills need some work [:)]. Alternatively you can call tech support and they should be able to figure it out pretty quickly.
Nicky, another thought. Does Logos crash when you try to run a regular search? If so then the database corrupted would be the index and you'd need to use the command rebuild index.
Wow.. Kevin your a star! Infact, a double star.. lol - removing those files not only fixed the issue, but also made Logos fire up like lighting?
Thanks very much for helping me fix this.. much appreciated [*]
Nicky, glad I could help.

After analysis offered, can look at crash report and logs to understand why analysis offered. Personally living and learning (expanding my boundaries of ignorance).
Thanks to Kevin; I learned too. Also aware of several other Logos forum users who have become skilled in reading diagnostic logs and crash reports.
Keep Smiling [:)]
