My collection grown to about 10 G. I am running L4 on a computer with only 29G of free space. Is there a way to delect just some of my books to save space, or can the books be stored on a removable drive.

If you have some books you do not want please see Hiding Books These will be deleted from your library.
To answer your second question - books cannot normally and in a supported way be stored on a removable drive. There is a way but it involves potentially complicated remapping of portable drives to directories. I don't suggest it.
