As I use my L4 I am constantly creating "note" files, "reading" files, "passage guide" files,.....you get the picture. How can I backup these files say to my external hard drive? Hate to loose my work. Love the product.
Thanks, John
Hi John - and welcome to the forums.
http://community.logos.com/forums/p/30353/224659.aspx gives you some information about local backup - however, there is not currently any local restore capability.
By default - assuming you have Internet enabled - all the content you create is synchronised to Logos servers so could be downloaded from there in the event of local failure.
A lot of people have concerns over the lack of a local backup / restore facility and others are concerned (do not permit) their data to be synchronised to Logos servers but if you are ok with it, it will provide some level of resilience.
Hope this helps
Graham
An extra option if you want maximum security is to use the Export function. It can't import back into Logos, but at least you have the actual content safe, in a format that can be read by other programs, and you can copy-and-paste things back if everything should go totally wrong at the same time. Not fun, but better than losing things altogether. I do it with note files. But then I'm rather paranoid about the cloud. It shouldn't be necessary.
