Yes, of course, we're talking about the english translation of the Talmud. You're wondering WHY is this resource so 'all fired important'. (http://www.logos.com/product/6667/babylonian-and-jerusalem-talmud-collection)

Well, Lightfoot explains it himself in his 'Commentary on the NT and Hebraica' (an excellent Logos resource, I might add). Yes, looking at 1 Cor 7:3 ...

Lightfoot, with an obviously red-face says 'Modesty forbids to relate their [ed. the rabbis'] trifles; I had rather the reader should go to them himself than defile our paper with them.'

Yes, there are some things you just HAVE to go to the Talmud for. Else-wise, it's just too embarrassing!

    Countdown: 2 (two) More Weeks

Always the optimist, are you? It was 2 weeks 2 months ago, so I'm not holding my breath until I've got it. But let's hope you're right, and it really is 2 weeks this time (or 10 days rather by now). Especially since the exchange rate is the lowest it's been for a very long time. I want everything I can get while that's still true. Especially the AYBRL, which is the most expensive item on my list (unless they put the AYB on sale [:D] ).

Well, I guess it's a good idea not to hold one's breath, as fgh suggested.

I really DO wonder though how Logos manages to discover it needs another MONTH, and AFTER it's informed you that in a couple of days it will ship.

Each time, I imagine the Logosians standing around the Logosian coffee maker, saying . . . . .

     'Well, should we tell them today?' . . . . .

     'You mean that we're not even close to shipping?'  . . . . .

    'Yeh .... they say it'll be weeks and maybe even months.'  . . . . .

     'Nah ... let's wait till we're closer to ship-day and then tell them. It'll look like it's a last minute problem'  . . . . .

     'Don't you think they might get angry?' . . . .

    'Yes?'
