Which program for learning Hebrew is best?

Hi,

I am interested in learning biblical Hebrew to help me with discourse analysis of the OT. I have ordered the pre-pub of the Lexham Hebrew discourse bundle (I also recently bought the "Learning to use Greek and Hebrew with Logos"), but have no knowledge of Hebrew beyond knowing some of the alphabet. I am currently looking at these 2 programs offered by logos:

my question then is: which program would be best for me as a total beginner. I've read that the Hebrew Primer helps students learn to recognize words quickly and does include an audio companion, though some of the terminology used to explain things is unique to this book. On the other hand, Rocine's focus on learning Hebrew through discourse analysis is working toward my goal it seems.

Futato, Beginning Biblical Hebrew (available in Logos) is so simple you almost don't need an instructor. I used Davidson's in Seminary. Gesenius and Joüon-Muraoka are the standards, but THEY ARE NOT INTRODUCTORY GRAMMARS.

I haven't personally used them, other than just to skim through them a bit, so these aren't exactly "reviews" but rather just a closer look at what's inside, with links to some reviews on the forums and Amazon.com, when available. The First Hebrew Primer seems to be the more popular of the two by far, in terms of numbers of people familiar with it or mentioning it, but "popular" doesn't necessarily translate into better. So look over the sample content I've uploaded, and what others have said, and decide for yourself.

I am currently on chapter 12 of the First Hebrew Primer book. I am going through it on my own with a weekly meeting at a local temple. I think this book and resources is excellent. There are some typo's as with all books and I have not figured out how to print the book in nice and easy readable format.
