Help - - - New Version DIsappointment
The new version of the Logos app for my IPad is a disappointment! They eliminated the quick change selections at the bottom of the screen in the "read" mode. I used this extensively to QUICKLY change bible translations when reading a passage - - but since the upgrade, I now have to SLOWLY tab to Library and then tab to "Recent Books" and then select the bible translation I desire. Any way to go back to the more efficient earlier version?????

Yep. The new way is a bit tedious, but if you hold down on the left pointing arrow it will provide you with a history.

Hmmm... I've already forgotten the old method and find the new history tab to work fine for me. Maybe you just got to get used to it.

Has anyone else noticed, howver, that when using the history feature, the program doesn't take one back to the correct page/reference in a particular document? I've been reading one of Luther's Works volumes. When I've switched to other books, and then I return to my volume of Luther's works, I'm no longer on the correct page. I've tried to figure out how it's determining what page to return to, but I'm not certain how it's functioning. It is also possible, of course, that there's something that I'm doing wrong.
The only way I've discovered, in the new version, to ensure that I can find my new "latest" page is by "Adding to Favorites" after every reading session.
I do think the History tab is supposed to function like the old list of book covers at the bottom of our screens. However, to the best of my knowledge, it appears that some functionality is temporarily missing.

Have you tried 1.7.1, released today? That should fix the problem.

at the mercy of some nameless programmer
You can't please all of the people all of the time. By all means argue for your favourite function (as others have done), but remember that the app was written by a fellow human being, not a 'nameless programmer'. I can't see how insulting him helps your cause.

The programmer's name is Dave. He is working hard and he was originally the sole programmer on this project. It is a lot of work for one guy. Like others, I would like things done quicker and better but I am thankful for what logos has given and I haven't paid a cent.
Let me make a suggestion, pray for Logos and pray for Dave as he codes. It is the best option when you are frustrated with your free software.Dr. Kurt Trucksess

I appreciate that Dave often replies to posts in the forums. Also that he admitted the bug in the previous release and said it would be dealt with in the next release. Someone mentioned the possibility of the next release being out by about 1st May, which sounded quick to me, quicker than I'd hoed for - and lo! It's out already! Thank you, Dave!

Yes, the new cache history is a improvement and the button seems to respond better... Or my finger tip has gotten smaller. Lol0
