With the newly announced update to 4.2a SR-5, I started L4 for Mac. It did not automatically begin downloading the update, like I understand it is supposed to. I type "Update now" into the command bar. It checks for updates and tells me "No updates were found." I do this several times—same result. I try "Update resources" in the command bar. No updates found. So I quit L4 for Mac, and start VMWare Fusion, which has L4 for Windows suspended on it. Once it is up and running, I type "Update now" into the command bar in L4 for Windows, and immediately it is downloading the SR-5 update. After it successfully installs, I quit and return to L4 for Mac. It still thinks there are no updates out there.
This has happened in the past, as I recall. Eventually L4 for Mac figures out that there is an update out there and gets it, but I don't understand why it doesn't respond immediately like L4 for Windows does.
