5 Suggestions for Observing Good Friday What are your Good Friday traditions?
Peace to you, Jayson, in the Name of the One who died that we might have Peace with God -- both now and forever.
*smile*
Thank you very much for a truly excellent post. Very much appreciated.
Here in the Canadian Province of Ontario -- there is a major commercial shut-down -- all banks -- all chain supermarkets -- all major stores in shopping malls -- all liquor stores -- all beer stores -- Canada Postal Services -- et cetera .. In the work place, this is a Statutory Holiday for most people.
I am grateful for that too -- as a person whose citizenship is also in heaven! Most people in Ontario would strive mightily, I believe, to keep Good Friday as a non-commercial day, even those who do not attend Worship on Good Friday.

That's pretty neat Milford! Thanks for sharing. And peace to you as well!
May I suggest that a blog post like this one ought to have been posted a bit earlier, since:
a) by the time you posted, Good Friday was pretty much over in my part of the world; Christ was not only dead, but buried as well. (And in this case, "my part of the world" is definitely the correct one: I'm closer to Jerusalem time than just about any of you [:P] )
b) the people who truly "observe" Good Friday aren't likely to read blogs that day, won't see your post until the day after at the earliest, and won't be able to share anything until it's too late.
c) "observing" tends to need a little planning.
Consequently, whether you wanted to offer ideas or receive them, Monday to Wednesday would have been better.
