Search by Highlighter....

Hello
Lets say you go through the Bible and highlight all the verses to do with a particular topic, and then you do the same thing for a different topic using a different color. Could we make a way to recall all of the highlighted verses for a particular topic all at once like a verse list?
Thank You.

It is possible to search for a certain Highlighter color in L4--however, it is very slow.

Douglas,
Take a look at the instructions on this page...the ones you want are probably at the bottom of the page. You will really speed up the search if you limit it to a specific volume--the big difference is that Logos doesn't pre-index these searches, so you get to watch it work in real time.

Well, maybe that's the suggestion I was looking for, Indexed Highlighter searches.

That's fine if you want to find highlighted instances of a particular word, but not if you want to find all occurrences of a particular highlighting style. For that, you need to use the wildcard character, and that is very slow. On my older slow laptop it took over an hour. On my new blazing fast PC it takes about 18 minutes.

Tis has been requested a lot! Seems we have a thread on this about every 3-4 weeks. I know I asked about it in the past...

Hello,
Thank you for the clarification
Yes, I would like to be able to search by color and/or style, to find all verses I have categorized under a particular topic in this way.. What is a wild card character?
Thank You!

Wild card characters are generally " * " and " ? ". The asterisk substitutes for the remaining characters which can then be anything. The question mark substitutes for only one character.
