How to change what happens when I open preferred Bible

I would like to use the Choose Preferred Bible in the blue top ribbon as a quick way of opening up my preferred Bible sometimes when I open Logos 4. Currently when I click on the image of the Bible cover, it opens not only that Bible but the whole passage guide and explorer. Takes a bit to change the passage because the passage guide is loading. How can I change it so that only the Bible opens up?

Hi Dave, welcome to the Forum!

You could add your preferred Bible as a shortcut in the shortcut bar of Logos 4. Please see this wiki page Shortcuts bar

EDIT: a shortcut only requires a single mouse click to open that book. You can also use your mouse to grab a shortcut and drag it to your layout area to open it in a specific place.

    Peace, Dave!                   *smile*

I don't use Home Page very much, so I have turned it off in the "customise" area (lower left on screen). Or you can simply click on "home," and Logos takes you to a blank screen with a "command box," top centre.

The version I use most frequently is the ESV (my preferred Bible).   I just type "ESV" in the command box, and it immediately takes me to the ESV.

Please be patient as you are learning Logos4.  What a wonderful and extremely powerful program.

Welcome to the Forums and come often!             *smile*               There's always someone here (24 hours a day!) that will give you a hand, usually quite quickly.

Steve's idea is a great one also!          *smile*

Also, you'll find great help on the wiki and on the training videos that the wiki lists.

Thanks, Steve and Milford. I have had Logos since 1996, but haven't had time to learn some of the tricks in version 4 yet. I will use my command bar. I do like the homepage, since it is nice to get tempted once in a while by new products...

    Peace, Dave!

I have the homepage NOT opening upon L4 startup.

Then my previous layout is still there from an earlier session.  I'm sure you've noticed this also.

However, I do use the homepage several times daily -- to see what's there -- and to easily access my prayer lists and my daily reading lists....
