BUG: Auto-generated tag

I'm continuing to build my collection of outlines - now on the Reformation Study Bible. When I selected the text and clicked on creating clipping ... the clipping came with a tag .. the second shot shows where the select began. The error is repeatable.

One could think that's by design. Your selection began at Genesis 1:1 in the outline.

However it puts Gen 1:1 as the auto-generated tag even if you begin your selection later in the outline.

In other resources, like the ESV Study Bible Notes, it doesn't put an auto-tag at all when you insert a clipping from an outline. So perhaps it shouldn't in this resource either. It probably has to do with the fact that the Scripture indexing starts at the Outline, not after it as it does in EST Study Bible.

I've found that it does this on all of the outlines although occasionally it gives only the book rather than 1:1. I hope that it's not by design - that would make other resources need revision.[:)]

Update: The automatic tag appears to be by design, as it adds the Bible reference tag when adding clippings from Bibles as well. Something is different with the ESV Study Bible, though. I wasn't surprised it hadn't added the tag for the outline Rosie showed on Page 47 because the active reference box doesn't have a Bible reference option for that location. However, if I scroll down to Chapter 1 in Genesis, below the Outline, where I can change the active reference from "Page 49" to "Genesis 1-11:26" and then add a clipping, the tag is still not added. I'll submit a report on this, and at the same time confirm that these tags are added by design.

If they are by design then both the ESV Study Bible and the Lutheran Study Bible have an error.
