Initial Reaction to 4.3 Beta 3

No new features - That is a little dissapointing given the time that is left this quarter to meet the scheduled release of PBB and Sermon file.
Improved performance - Maybe it is my imagination, but initially it seems that the program is running quicker. I have several layouts I use in my standard study process and switiching between them seems to be quicker.
Print / Export - Thanks for fixing the page count bug. I know that was a big deal for a number of us.

I personally do not expect many new features for a while, and this beta does not seem faster to me. I still get a black screen saying Logos Bible Software is not responding for about 30 seconds.
FYI... we still four more beta releases for this quarter if Logos still releases a beta every other Tuesday. There is plenty of time for them to release PBB and Sermon file into the beta cycle for them to say that they have made the 2nd quarter release. I would be very surprised if PBB makes it into RC before the end of the second quarter.

I did the "Rosie" test...(right click the definite article in John 1:1 and see how long it takes to populate the right click menu) it seemed like it was the same or even slightly worse...

I tried that after reading your post and it took 10-12 seconds to populate the menu. I cannot be sure if that is a better time or not. It does seem faster (to me) changing layouts however.

Doing searches is definitely slower for me.

Look for an improvement to this in Beta 4. (There may be a slight delay the first time the menu is opened--although it won't take as long as it does now--but thereafter it should be much faster.)

I thought the program seemed zippier tonight

It took my laptop 30 seconds.

One thing to note about the "Rosie" test...I noticed that the more common the word, the longer it took to populate the right click menu....choosing anything that isn't very very common (the, it, he, she, in, a) is much faster.....
