Need to find a map dividing 12 Tribes of Israel

I am relatively new to LOGOS. I am teaching O.T. Survey, but unable to locate a map that I can copy for a hand-out. Can anyone help me locate such a map? My email address is papenjim@yahoo.com. My phone is 530/252-8080. I would surely appreciate the help.

Hey Jim, you probably shouldn't post your email address and phone number on a public forum. Spam-bots will pick up your email address at the very least. You can edit your post (if you do it within 10 hours) by clicking the "More" button to the right of your post and then clicking "Edit." Make the changes and then click "Post."
Do a Basic Search in the Title field (which is used for maps and other graphics) in your Entire Library for "twelve tribes" and you should find several possible maps that could work well for you:

Rosie has given you a number of maps to pick from. I think, however, that the best I have thus far found in Logos is in the Holman Bible Atlas, p 84. If you open it in a floating window then maximize it you should get a fairly decent map. I would post it for you, but that doesn't seem to work. It must be copy-protected.

Dear Ms. Rosie:
I cannot get to the first step you describe. A Basic Search" is something that I have never done, and no clue as to how to proceed. I'm going to Camp Logos on May 5 & 6. However, till then, I am a bit frustrated with some features of the software and utterly in the dark with others . . . such as what you directed me to do.
Is there a way to get where you tot to and come up with less than 33,030 results in over 600 resources?

You can find a map in Biblical Places
Click on this link to open Biblical Places
If the link did not work, you can Open Biblical Places from the Tools menu in the top menu. Then type Asher in the place box and then navigate as shown below
Then from Biblical Places you can print it using the Print/Export feature
1. Click on the BIblical Places icon
2. In the drop down menu click on Print/Export.
3. The Print/Export window will pop-up. You can send it to the printer or export it to Word.

Thank you Steve. The other folks who took time to respond presumed a level of understanding in the software that I do not yet have. The "searches" I tried resulted in frustration -- creating more heat than light.
I appreciate the clarity of your direction.

Sorry I made too many assumptions about what you already knew.
Basic Search is one of the most useful and fundamental features of Logos. You can learn how to do it by watching this video: http://www.logos.com/video/2285/basic-searching. This video goes into more depth if you find you want more: http://www.logos4training.com/videos/searching/
Here's how to do the search I described above: Click on the magnifying glass icon in the upper left (1) and it will open a
Search tab. If Basic isn't the option selected (that is, with a triangle beneath it) at the right, click on it (2).Now to search for what Bob suggested (which is simpler than what I
suggested), just enter the search text in the Find box as shown in the
video:Press Enter or click the blue arrow to the right of the Find box.
If you see a map in the search results that looks interesting, click on it to open the resource it's in to that page:
Now right-click on the map, and choose Print to print it (or Copy or Save As..., depending on what you want to do with it).

Peace to you, Jim! *smile*
Since you are relatively new to Logos, you may not have noticed that Bob Pritchett himself -- the President of Logos Bible Software -- personally took time to respond to your post! Isn't that incredible??? *smile*
We ALL say, "Welcome to Logos Bible Software, and welcome to the Forums!"

On Home Page can enter search terms, then click "Go"
with some interesting results in 44 resources. Changed Search as Rosie initially suggested (clicked All Text for drop down, checked Title) and removed #image:
Keep Smiling [:)]

Good job, Rosie. Out-Logos-ing the CEO :-)
I'm one of the few people who has been a Logos user almost as long as Bob.
Have discovered that the Title search field is used almost exclusively for maps and images. There are a few resources that have section title text (headings) tagged as Title, but not many. It doesn't look like Logos is intending to tag all headings as Title, so those that are might be goofs.

That IS a good map...the bummer however is that Rosie's search will not find this map! [:'(]
