Trouble installing on Mac running Parallels with Windows XP
Don't know if anyone out there is running this on parallels for mac on windows xp but I've gotten stuck on installing the latest updates. When I go to install I get the following message:
An error occurred while writing installation information to disk. Check to make sure enough disk space is available, and click Retry, or Cancel, to end the install.
I click retry over and over and get the same message.
I've got the memory allocation in parallels set to "automatic" which is supposed to allocate memory for best performance.

you may need up to 30GB of free space to install depending on your version

no problem - I'm still rooting around trying to find an answer - i've found something else that lets me tinker with memory so maybe that will help.

I Beta tested on VMWare. It does work, so it could be a memory problem. Honestly, I don't know how to up the memory size since I only installed VMWare to Beta test. Now that it is done, I am back to Mac 1.0 and Alpha testing for Mac 4.0. I will miss using some amazing tools, but space limitations demand I wait :-) Good luck brother!
