Problem with Notes & Layouts Synchronizing

I'm a Logos 4 Mac user. I've enjoyed the fact that my layouts and user notes are synchronized between my MacBook Pro and my iMac. However, over the past 3-4 weeks neither my notes nor saved layouts have synchronized. I use my MacBook Pro primarily, and whenever I go to my desktop the notes and layouts have not been updated. Is this an issue with my settings, or if something else is going on? BTW, I do have "Use Internet" set to yes on both machines.

Hi Irwyn,

Welcome to the forums.

It appears that you have everything setup correctly. A few suggestions:

1. Layouts must be saved in order to sync. I am assuming you are doing this.

2. It is always a good idea to click on the sync icon before closing your MacBook. See pic below and make sure it shows that syncing is enabled and completed.

3. When you open the iMac click on the same icon and give it time to sync.. especially the layouts.

If you continue to have problems, it could be a server issue going on at Logos and may require you to contact support.

Thanks! Clicking sync on both machines did the trick. Is there a way to set up automated sync on the MacBook so that it'll sync every 30 or 60 minutes?

It tends to automatically synch quite often. Some complain that it happens too often and slows everything down. However, synch still seems to need a little nudge occasionally.

Hi Irwyn,

Often times we save our layout and close Logos not providing it time to sync, or we open Logos and go right to opening a saved layout not providing time to sync. If you leave Logos open on both computers, you should always be in sync. Other than that, I suggest you use the method described in my original post.
