Very amusing typo in Shakespeare :-) Gotta love spell checkers.

It appears Shakespeare dedicated his Sonnets to Logos:

The online begetter of these sonnets is obviously Logos.

It's supposed to be ONLIE (old English spelling for only). ONLINE is an amusing anachronism in Shakespeare! :-)

I've already reported it via Report Typo (which now shows up immediately when you right-click on a word even if other stuff is still populating in the context menu -- Yay! Thank you, Logos), but just wanted to share the chuckle. Smile

BTW ----- Encyclopedia Brittanica says this was written by T.T. (if I understand them correctly): (from them ..............

as discussed in

First Folio (publication of Shakespeare’s plays)

...by fair means or foul, enter it as his copy (or dispense with the formality), and have it printed. Such a man was Thomas Thorpe, the publisher of Shakespeare’s sonnets (1609). The mysterious "Mr. W.H." in the dedication is thought by some to be the person who procured him his copy.
