How to use NEBRL/Logos Library system Vers. 2.1e CD with Logos 4

I have purchased a CD with Word Biblical Commentary many years ago, and used it to my great satisfaction with several versions of the program, the latest was Libronix 3.0g. Now I have installed Logos 4 (on a new Win7 installation), but I have not been able to access the books yet.

I have already put "scan cd" into the command line and restarted the program (and I heard the CD drive being accessed), but the books still aren't showing.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Hello, Karsten. Welcome to the Logos forums.

You will either need to have functioning installation of Libronix 3.0g with the WBC installed on it (i.e., it will have to be on a Win-32 machine since the 2.1e install program won't run on Win 7), or you will need to contact Customer Service to have them unlock the licenses for you for your Logos 4 installation.

If you can still run Libronix 3.0g and access the WBC, then do so. Choose Tools > Library Management > Synchronize Licenses. This will cause the unlocked license for WBC on your PC to get synched up to the Logos servers. Now restart Logos 4 and wait for it to recognize that new resources are available to be downloaded. It might take another restart or waiting a minute or two. You'll see a popup in the lower right that you can click on to start the download. Once the files have downloaded, the Logos notification icon will ask you to click to restart Logos. Then your WBC should be available to you.

If you cannot access a running installation of Libronix 3.0g with WBC installed in it, then CS can help you. Be prepared to read the serial number over the phone to them from the CD case, though if you bought the CD from them they should have a record of it in your user account records.

Now that Logos handles all resources licenses by download, you should never have to do this again for future upgrades to new versions.
