Duplicate Bibliotheca Sacra resources - deleting them?

A 1-2 weeks ago, Bibliotheca Sacra vols 1-90 were updated on my system; however, the older resources were not deleted. I "hid" the older resources in the program settings. At first, it appeared that hiding them created indexing issues that have since cleared with the addition of new resources.

What is the best way to delete the older BibSac resources from my hard drive WITHOUT creating issues in L4?

When want to delete Logos 4 resource(s), recommend "hiding" them in program settings. Next time Logos 4 is launched, log files include deletion of resource files along with removing entries in Logos 4 database files.

Hiding is usually the only way, but it is possible in this case that just deleting them from the Resources folder would work. Usually that doesn't work because Logos just tries to re-download the missing volumes. However it seems something went awry with the update and the older volumes did not get deleted when they should have. So Logos probably thinks you have what you need and wouldn't try to re-download them.

If anyone else has this problem it would be worth trying the easier fix of deleting the files from the Resources folder to see if that works.
