ESV Study Bible, Not all notes are there at times

When I read my Bible and have the ESV Study Bible notes opened alongside, there are times when all the notes aren't there. Today I was reading 2 Samuel 21 and there only seemed to be one note for the entire chapter. There was approximately onenote for each of the remaining chapters in 2 Samuel. When I opened the ESV Study Bible online, there were a lot of notes for that particular chapter that showed up. Anyone else had an issue like this?

I'm not seeing this behavior. I am seeing lots of ESVSB notes for this section.

I have not gotten any similar behavior. 2 Sam 21 has lots of notes and follows along just fine on Logos4 and on iPad.

Yes, it is finished indexing. I've had it for a several months. I will probably call customer service Monday. It's really peculiar. There is usually just one note per chaper. I've closed it down and reopened it several times, still just one note per chapter.

I think I know what you are referring to Bill. If you put your reference for just a chapter, it tends to go to the NT key reference for the OT in the back of the ESV Study Bible. If you put the verse references such as 2 Sam 21:1-7 or similar it should bring up the right notes for the chapter. Not sure why it heads to the NT reference in the back other than you aren't giving it the verse references to zero in.

I think you hit upon something. When I scrolled down using the "scriptural index" or whatever you call it, you can open to a chapter. If I have my Bible and the ESV Study Bible opened up and "connected" (wrong word, I know) together, they flow alongside each other. However, you have to have your cursor set to a particular verse to make the ESV Study Bible "connect" to that verse. If not, it just showing chapter by chapter footnotes.
