Aren't the versions linked?

When I open to a split screen on my iPad the two Bible translations were linked (i.e. they both are on the same verse). But if I move on to the next chapter on one version the link stops. Is that the way it is supposed to be?

    Unfortunately the way it currently seems to work is that if there is any overlap at all in the verses, the second Bible will not follow.  So it can be when you move to the next page the other Bible will not follow because it still has lets say just one verse in common with the other Bible.  This is a phenomenon of paged view.
