Pre-pubs affected? FTP needed?

HI all,

I have two questions about version 4 -

1. If I have bought any pre-pubs that are in a version of Logos 4 that I upgrade to, do I need to cancel the order? Have they been pulled out of Pre-pubs? Or are there no book in pre-pub that are in an upgraded package? I sure don't want to buy something twice!

2. I use JFTP to sync my system with any new resources added to the server (purchases or locked), so I can see what is available as well as keep my books current. How does this work now, for both unlcoked and locked books?

1. Bob said elsewhere that these will be coming out of the Prepub program. I assume that they will cancel our orders for us. But, this is a good question.

2. No need to ever use FTP again (if you completely abandon 3.0) The program will check for you once a day if there are any new or updated resources.

Thanks! Maybe someone can clarify the PrePub purchase question, I am sure no one wants to pay twice and it seems any given prepub may or may not be in someone's upgraded library...

All I know is that when I saw I had the D-R Bible I cancelled my prepub myself.

We plan to cancel the pre-pubs for books that hadn't shipped on pre-pub and are now in the collections.

Don,

With version 4 it is recommended that you not add unlocked resources since they would then need to be indexed and updated, taking resources from your system and slowing things down. And with version 4 it is not as easily to manually add resources. Unlike version 3, you cannot drop resources into a folder and expect v4 to automatically find them. Logos 4 must be manually told to scan a folder for any resources you want loaded, so a simple ftp sync will not work.
