BUG\WIERDNESS Beta 4: No windows appearing

Oddest thing I ever saw. I can't get any windows to open inside the main GUI. Home Page works OK, but no resources will open inside the main GUI. No error messages. I recall an old snapshot but still the same - no windows will open.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Ah wait - they've appeared now ... strange - but snapshots created when the screen was blank reflect the "no windows" state I encountered just there.

Melissa, while I do have a stable version of the software on another user name in windows, I prefer to work with the Beta. What are the possibilities of getting an early beta release, like tomorrow? [:D]

Since there are workarounds, and you should be able to open resources and other panels, Beta 5 will be released next week (barring any unforeseen circumstances).

You indicated that you could get windows to open in different Layouts. None of my problems have been fatal and I can work "normally" eg i don't have to do a study from the Home Page.

I have this problem too. I have found that my workspace magically reappears (from nothingness) if I play around with Logos. Sometimes just minimizing the program and then re-maximizing it works. Sometimes I open a resource using the command bar, and then my whole workspace re-appears. It will be nice when this is fixed, but it has not been a show-stopper for me.
