I'm running Windows 7 on a Pentium 4 machine. I don't know how to find my log files. What should I do next?
Hi Michael
For information about logs please see http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
It would be good to post the Logos4 file after Logos has stopped working, if it crashes please provide the crash file as well.
Also could you please summarise what you were doing when Logos stopped working?
Thanks, Graham
I'm just trying to open Logos up. Yesterday, some auto-updates (resource) were downloaded and installed at about the same time as I was adding some purchased Libronix 3 titles. The process didn't seem real smooth to me. I'm not sure if that is what precipitated today's difficulty, or not.
I don't know where to find the log files. It seems to me that they are somehow hidden. I've looked in the Users folder as well as the System folder.
I should probably note that my machine has 2 GB of memory.

It may be that logging is not enabled - please see http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging#How_do_I_get_a_diagnostic_Log.3f for details of how to enable it either temporarily or permanently.

"To turn on logging, hold down the CTRL key as you start Logos 4"Logos 4 won't start with the CTRL key pressed down either.
What happens if you run the javascript to turn it on permanently?
Where do you find javascript?
Right here. http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs
Michael,
Reboot your computer first, then try to start L4 as above. If it crashes then upload the logs as per the wiki article http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs

I'd like you to attempt a Repair of your installation.
Go to Control Panel | Programs and Features and select Logos Bible Software 4. Choose Repair in the Toolbar.
Repairing didn't do the trick. Neither did uninstalling then reinstalling. Thankfully my laptop installation is there to save the day as far as Logos access is concerned.

Did you delete the Logos4 folder before reinstalling? A quicker alternative is to:
1614.Logos4.zip
I'm having the same error- I've looked at other forums, but the suggestions haven't helped thus far- just attempting to open the programs causes the error. I've deleted the UserManager database files and was actually able to pull up the login screen, but then it would error out again. Any help, suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

You are running an old version of Logos 4. Update to the latest by clicking on this link and you should be OK.

Hi Dave,
I did the install from the link above and still got a stopped working error. Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks for your help,
Kelly
Hi Michael:
Can you navigate to the Logos 4 folder by following the steps below?
AccessingLogos4 Folder Vista/Windows 7:
1.) Click the Start button.
2.) Click Computer.
3.) C:\users\userfolder*\**AppData \local \logos4\
i. *Your Unique user folder.
ii. **This folder is hidden. Select Organize>Folder andSearch options>View>Show hidden files and folders.
Once there, can you tell me if the Logos 4 folder or Users folder are an opaque color?
Thank you.
Screen shots of my folders. I apologize for the extreme delay. I got so frustrated with it, I gave it up for a while. But i really would like yo use it. I've spent a lot of money on this program. Thanks for any help you can give me.
sorry, it didn't post them. but I don't have a unique user folder- it just says users and they are opaque... The files inside are UserManager and UserManager.db-journal.
Hello Kelly,
IT looks like you called in and spoke with one of our technicians. Is everything resolved?
Yes, everything is working great. On my MAC and my Windows machines. I was having another issue with the MAC that I called in about.
