Addition to the library / collection functionality

In general, I like the way the new library management works. However, once I found the appropriate place to add my own tags, I realized that a least one of my tags is sufficient useful to best be provided by Logos in the standard information: canon I use Protestant, Lutheran, Anglican, Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Slavic Orthodox, Syriac, Armenian and Ethiopean ... giving only the most inclusive title. When a particular resource is fundamental to a particular denomination, I give the book a denominational tag. ... Yes, I know Luther, Calvin, Knox ... but I need a reminder for Darby, Moody ... Yes, I know most users know that sort of thing but I'm Catholic - give me a break.

No problem. We Protestants can easily get confused about the debates between Franciscans and Jesuits, let alone in a discussion about how Anselm, Aquinas, Bonaventure, and Ockam all built on their Augustinain heritage and transformed it for their situations.

More seriously, as useful as it is to put people into various boxes, there are problems with this as well, as I am sure you are aware. Eg., both Schaff (German Reformed) and Warfield (Presbyterian) thought that they were faithful followers of Calvin, even if the two of them were rather different, theologically. As a Lutheran, you don't want to get me started about all the readings and misreadings of Luther out there.

However, expect some of this to happen. Logos has hinted that the information we input in "My Tags" will be imported into "Tags" so if enough people label Darby as a Dispensationalist, you might see it without knowing what all that even means.

Coming from a community that was heavily Finnish Lutheran ... as in Finnish being the official language of services ... I've heard many of the Lutheran quibbles. But then again, in much of what Luther said he was right - he just lacked sufficient patience for silly Catholic practices to be seen as silly Catholic practices.
