Downloading Barnes Notes

ZZZZZZZZZZZ...apparently Barnes is chiseling itself to my hard drive one letter at a time. At this rate it will take as long to download as it took on PrePub.

Anyone else have this experience? I don't remember anything taking this long to download.

Of course, I'm talking about the L3 download. I haven't tried starting L4 yet, don't want my system to start smoking. Surprise

My L3 was the usual speed. I started L3 then L4 (downloading at the same time) - the smoke detecter was oblivious to the downloads

Rather strange, my L3 files downloaded fast and my L4 updated fast also. Might be memory issues, not really sure, but hey, you'll be so happy after you finish downloading that you won't even remember that it took so long to download...[:P]

Mine took maybe half an hour to download and perhaps half an hour to index. I thought that was because I was using a public wifi hotspot which was slow.

Incidentally, all 27 volumes downloaded in no time onto my iPad (at home, with higher speed internet access).

They downloaded pretty fast for me, too. Might be just a temporary Internet speed glitch for you. Sometimes when that happens if I just shut down everything and reboot my computer and try again, it's much faster. Can depend on how long the computer has been up and running (and getting its memory bogged down) since the last clean reboot.

I remember mine dowloading quickly, in just a few minutes, typical of other downloads in L3 and L4.
