Information on my notes

Hello everyone,

Could someone tell me if Logos stores any information when I make a note? I guess I'm thinking about how you can click on a Word file and click on properties to see when it was created, modified, etc. I have so many notes that they are getting a little overwhelming and I would like to do some note maintenance.

Let me say how much I appreciate how faithful many of you are to these forums. I almost feel like I know a lot of you just from reading so much of your knowledge. Also guys, for those of you who don't have one, a photo on your profile helps a lot.

I don't write very much on here as you can see, but I read several times daily. I don't see how anyone could ask for a more helpful place and or a more helpful bunch. I've owned Logos software all the way back to the very early days and I'm very thankful that I found it.

Isn't it wonderful that Jesus found us? Being a part of the Logos family is just one more benefit of being a follower of Jesus.

Hi Jim, I do believe Logos internally stores information about the date the note was last changed, because that must be how they know that it needs to be synced. But other than that I'm not aware of any info they store, and the timestamp is not made available in the user interface, so there's no way for you to see it (unless you went mucking about in the databases with a SQLite reader, which is not recommended).

There's a request on the Logos forum on UserVoice for more attention to be paid to the Notes feature. I'm not sure whether it explicitly says to make the timestamp visible in the user interface, but there's something about allowing sorting by created date and last updated date, so if they do that it might imply needing to make the dates visible. You could go vote for that suggestion if you haven't already. Here it is.

As Rosie said any info Logos stores with a note is inaccessible to us at this point. Organization of notes is needed. In the interim have you thought of creating folders for your note files using Favorites? If not all, at least some of them could be grouped together into folders and accessed directly rather than through the very cumbersome Files menu. It has helped me.
