I have rather detailed outlines for numerous books of the bible that are in word documents. What options do i have to import those into my logos notes. Idealy i would like to reference those as i work throu a book.
Copy and Paste. Keep in mind that the formatting may or may not be what you are looking for, depending on how you have it formatted in Word
thanks for that input is there any particular way it can go in and be linked to the verses. Similar to what is done in the commentaries with link sets?
If you copy and paste a verse reference that has been typed in Word in a format Logos recognizes as a scripture link (e.g. John 3:16 or Jn 3:16). L4 will will treat it as such when you paste into a note.
If you aren't in a hurry I suggest you wait until Logos has finished developing the PBB (Personal Book Builder). I believe that should probably give you what you want. It's supposed to arrive before the end of this quarter, but since it hasn't reached beta yet, I wouldn't count on it. But hopefully before autumn?
will that be an update or a feature for needing to be purchased?
Logos hasn't explicitly said. My reading of the various hints along the way is that it'll be free for personal use, perhaps a licensing fee if you want to sell/share pbbs you create with others. Others will disagree with that assessment but either way it's worth holding off copying and pasting from all those Word files until you know for sure.
thanks for all this help i think i will hold off and see what and when this tool comes out then choose a means to procede
