"Missing" letters

I'm doing a project and came across "missing" letters for the 3rd time today. Perhaps there's something wrong with my settings all of a sudden? I've made no changes to the computer for over a week.

Here's an example:

This first one is the correct form in the EBC on Ps 140:5.

2       (3 MT) The MT’s יָגוּרוּ (yāg̱ûrû, “attack”) is emended to יְגָרוּ (yeg̱ārû, “stir up”) in the NIV.

However, what I see is:

2       (3 MT) The MT’s יָגוּרוּ (yāûrû, “attack”) is emended to יְגָרוּ (yeārû, “stir up”) in the NIV.

Notice the transliteration's gimel is missing in the second example.

Any suggestions?

Disregard the previous post. After two reboots and a change from the delightful CALIBRI font to Arial Unicode MS the situation is resolved. Now to play around to find another fun easy-to-read font...
