It would have -- which is why I didn't buy it for that same price when I last saw it -- but I got about half of the bundle practically for free in December. What's left is worth $582.25, so, yes, theoretically the bundle is still a little bit cheaper, but a) I figure I can probably pick up the remaining bits piece by piece for less, and b) I'm not sure I actually need all of it. If I could get a discount for already owning half it would be a different thing, but so far I haven't succeeded. They want the full price anyway. [:'(]

It was only $35 off....but I was wanting it, so $134.95 seemed good enough discount to jump on. How does one get a sales rep? I had one, but he left the company shortly after selling me the platinum base package.

Either you test your googling skills and search the forums for the name of someone recommended by someone you trust. Or you call/e-mail Sales when you need help, and if you like the person answering you remember his name/e-mailaddress and go directly to him in the future. If you're not that keen you try another one next time.

There have been times when I've been horrified to see some newbie directed to contact A in order to buy x, when I've known from personal experience that A will [falsely] tell him that he can't buy x, but must buy y instead, at several hundred dollars more. At best, I've been able to post some link that at least arms the poor newbie with proof that others have indeed bought x, but other than that I've bit my tongue (hard!) and prayed that A would be on vacation or something. I don't find it right to post things like "A will do whatever it takes to make you spend more money than you want or need to" even when they're true. I'd say it privately, but I won't post it on the internet for the whole world to see.

For this reason I try to avoid mentioning individual sales reps at all, and let people do their own research.

(For clarity: I've never talked to Jim-Ray, so this has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that he's the one being recommended.)

I had a very very bad experience with salesperson many years ago, about the time Logos brought out Series X, transitioning from Logos 2. I said something about it and Bob himself corrected the situation and made everything right and then some.

I am still a very loyal customer, in part because of Bob's response. I have never had a bad experience again with sales or CS. I am sure it happens from time to time, but I agree with Jack; let Bob or someone try and address it. Give them a chance to make things right.

Were you aware that you could have all your plans consolidated so you are only paying one $5 monthly processing fee and have only one consolidated payment per month? You might also be able to extend it out to a full 12 months.

No, I was totally unaware of this...which has just made me cranky [:@]...but thank you very much for this information, I will follow it up.

I didn't know Dave was still there. He was my first Logos contact when I bought Scholar's Silver back in the Logos 3 days in May 2005 and was my sales rep for many purchases afterwards.

Somehow I got switched over to another sales rep who was equally good, and is now managing the sales reps, I understand. My latest sales rep has been Santiago Galeano.

I don't have the AYB Dictionary, so I can't really answer this question all that well. But I did buy the IVP OT Dictionary Bundle after this thread was created. Presumably the content is different in such a way as to complement each other. As a former sales rep myself, I can assure you that customer loyalty is greatly appreciated by a sales rep. They earn what they make. No matter what the compensation structure is, someone is watching to see if they produce.

Yep, that sounds just about right, but hey who cares, judgment day is tomorrow so let's all forgive and forget...LOL...I wanna see that guy's face come Sunday morning when he sees that judgement day was in no show Saturday. I can't believe he dared to try to predict the coming of judgement day again when he was a total failure back in 1994. What disgusts me the most is his followers choosing to keep the blindfold and act like if it's a test from God and that they will endure mockery and that they are right because people will persecute them making fun of them....oh boy, anyway, God will fix them whenever judgement day comes...all we have to do is pray for them so they can repent because our Lord is coming at an hour when we least expect Him.
