I have bought the BDAG/HALOT Bundle, however, after I have unlocked the application through Internet, I found that there is BDAG in my library only, but not HALOT. May I know what I should do in order to have HALOT download to my library.
Did you purchase this over the internet ? (I would assume so, but did you ?) If so, which page was it on -- give the URL.
Yes, I bought it through Internet. What do you mean by 'which page was it on'? Would it made a different when I bought it through Internet?
He is asking for the web page you used for the purchase so that he can verify what you should have gotten.
Here is the page that I did the 'Add to Cart' http://www.logos.com/product/5228/bdag-halot-bundle. In fact, when I unlock the program, I saw that HALOT was downloaded, but after everything downloaded, I found BDAG and King James only.
Contact Customer Service or Sales and explain the situation. Since you already had BDAG, they will probably refund the difference between the bundle and HALOT's individual price.

If you're sure you saw HALOT downloading, it sounds a bit like it might have gotten stuck in the Downloaded folder, instead of moving over to the Resources folder at the moment in the installation process when it should have. That's happened to me a couple of times. Unfortunately, I don't remember the solution (scan command?), and in any case I'm on Mac, so if you're on PC I can't even tell you how to check if that is indeed the problem, much less give you instructions how to fix it. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come back to you when America wakes up. Or you can call Tech Support when they open.
How does one see what is being downloaded?
On Mac one keeps an eye on the right subfolder in Finder, and looks at what files turn up.
Hi Michael
http://wiki.logos.com/An_update_is_downloading,_what_is_it might help on this.

I have clicked on your URL a number of times and consistently get a "page not found" error. I don't know what the problem is since it appears to be correct. Let me ask another way: How much did you pay? I don't really doubt you, but sometimes we all make mistakes, and I'm trying to rule out a human error.
George,
the underlined sequence that our browsers think is a link contains the period at the end of the sentence. Just take it out in the browser address or use http://www.logos.com/product/5228/bdag-halot-bundle . This only shows that there still is the bundle, but not what the OP bought and downloaded and installed.

Agreed, but I was wondering whether the correct page for the bundle was used which is why I wanted the URL. If the URL had been different then it would be obvious that some mistake was involved. Perhaps best of all to determine the matter is the purchase price. If the amount paid agrees with the stated purchase price then obviously that is what should have been received.
Are you using L3 or L4 (Do you get a red splash screen or a blue splash screen). If you are using L3 (red) then you will need to download the file from the ftp page:
ftp://ftp.logos.com/lbxbooks
If you are using L4 (blue) then it should be automatically downloaded to your machine. If that hasn't happened, I suggest that you contact technical support at Logos. You can e-mail them at mailto:tech@logos.com (or without the "mailto:" if your browser is like mine). I'm guessing that it would be difficult for you to phone due to long-distance, but if you can phone the number for tech support is 877-697-9497.
To get the information you really want, wouldn't it have been better to simply ask for what's on the Order Page?
George, To get the information you really want, wouldn't it have been better to simply ask for what's on the Order Page?
No
I have paid 274.95 for the bundle and in my Order page, it is clearly stated that there is HARLOT. In fact, I have contacted the CS several times via email, however, other than the automatic reply, I received nothing regarding my inquiry. Anyway, I will try George's advice, to download the files first (I am still using L3). Thank you.
BTW, what should I do after I have downloaded those files? In fact, I have those .lbxlls files in my order page, but there is no instruction on how to install them.
It does look as though there is no mistake on your part that you did purchase the bundle (but I hope it was HALOT and not HARLOT [;)]). Save the files to the location where you have your other L3 files which should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Resources unless you have chosen a custom installation. Once you have saved them, synchronize your licenses (Tools | Library Management | Synchronize Licenses) -- click "Next" and wait until the process is complete to close the window. Then, close L3 and reopen it -- wait if a notice appears in the lower right of the Status Bar which says "Discovering Resources." Open your library browser and see whether BDAG and HALOT appear. You may need to close and reopen L3 one more time. If that doesn't work, it probably means that your license hasn't been updated -- that requires that Logos personnel take care of it (unless you have a code to unlock the resources).
EDIT: To check to see whether these have been unlocked you can change the text in the Library Browser drop-down labelled "Collections" to "All Locked Resources" if they don't appear as unlocked resources. That will indicate that the program has found the files but that your license hasn't been updated.
Lo Chung Man Anna (I'm not sure of your first name) ... when you purchase from Logos.com, there's two ways you install the files for Libronix. One way is in the email they send you, there's a link for what they call older versions. It runs a script that downloads the resources, puts them in the correct folder and updates your licenses. This is for Libronix.
The other way, is on Logos.com, go to your account, and then orders page, and click on the order number. Then scroll down to a line that says to unlock, again for older versions. This runs the same script to download/install the resource.
From your comments above, you've done one of the above, since you saw the download.
As George noted above, next check the folder where it was supposed to place them. You should see two files for HALOT: HAL.lbxlls and HALARAM.lbxlls. You should also have received 2 KJV files as well (in addition to BDAG or a total of 5). These should be in your c:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Resources folder. If you don't see the HAL files, then look in c:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\InBound folder. If it's in there, copy it over to the Resources folder and then re-start Libronix.
However, there's one more possibility. How large is your library? If it's not small, typing HALOT in the library 'Find' text box, won't locate HALOT. You have to type Hebrew & Aramaic or something similar. If you type BDAG, it will find BDAG (also KJV).
I have checked the folder already and I found both the HAL.lbxlls and HALARAM.lbxlls. However they are not shown in my library, neither ad locked or unlocked resource. Any further suggestion to solve this?
HELP file entry: 12. Scan: • scan x:\path – scans path on drive x:\ for resources (replace ‘x’ with the appropriate drive letter) – restart required
Now that you have found the resources in Libronix 3
1 COPY the path to the resources folder in (Libronix 3).
ie. the location where you have your other Libronix (L3) files (lbxlls) which should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Resources unless you have chosen a custom installation
2. [In Logos 4] Type "SCAN" (without the " " 's) into the COMMAND LINE BOX
3. Then PASTE the resource "path" that you copied from Libronix.
4. Press ENTER
5. After you have Restarted Logos 4 - It should then "find" these resources in Libronix 3 and scan them into your Logos 4 library of resources.
If this is not clear enough - or if I have misunderstood, please post back here again..
I am not using Logos 4, but only Libronix. I can see the HALOT files in the resource folder but not in my Library, neither as locked or unlocked resource.
I can't conceive of why what I am considering would happen, but what is the extension of these files ? Is it BDAG.lbxlls or is it BDAG.logos4 ?
They are HAL.lbxlls and HALARAM.lbxlls.
In that case, I'm completely baffled. Resources with those extensions should be visible as either locked or unlocked resources so the fact that they don't appear at all makes no sense. I'm afraid you'll need to contact customer service. I don't know what else to suggest.
Seems like the publisher and Logos would offer some kind of deal on HALOT for those who already have purchased BDAG, and vice versa. The BDAG / HALOT bundle is great deal IF you don't already have one or the other. Since BDAG is part of some Logos packages, there must be many people who would desire such a deal. I am not sure I have ever seen HALOT offered at a special sale price by itself.
Wish for Advanced Hebrew Supplement (11 vols.) sale, bundle is $ 100 more than Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament (HALOT) (5 vols.)
Keep Smiling [:)]
