4.2b(v4.22.5.1104)

Just downloaded and installed new update. When I start program, it opens for several seconds and then closes to desktop. I have restarted my computer but the program still crashes. I have had no problem with Logos 4 for months. Is anybody else experiencing this or similar problems?

4.2b installed and runs without any issues on my system.

I suggest you post a log - this would allow those more knowledgeable than myself to help you.

I am still having the Logos4 crash as described in my original post but now my MacBook Pro (I have a desktop and a laptop) has downloaded and installed the update and it is also crashing. I have included the log file for my MacBook Pro and off course have tried a restart.

Thanks for the logs. We'll take a look at them. Meanwhile, plesae try opening Logos 4 to a blank layout to see if it will remain open without the home page or previous layout loading. To do this, press the Cmd key immediately after clicking on the icon in the Dock and keep Cmd held down until the Sign In window appears. Select the "Use blank layout" box, and then click the Sign In button.

The error in your log is the same one we're seeing currently with some Bible search crashes in both 4.2b and the 4.3 beta. We are investigating those crashes. If you are loading a layout with a Bible search panel open in it, that might be the cause of the crash.

I hope this helps Melissa. I am running Parallels on My Mac so I also have installed the Windows version of Logos4. In the PC version, I deleted any search tabs and also the Passage and Exigetical Guides from the layout I have opening in Logos4 Mac. Doing this fixed the crash.

Thank you. You may be able to search All Passages without problem in Bible Search. Basic Searches, Passage Guide, and Exegetical Guide should be fine. I'll update this thread when a fix is available for this crash.

Update: This will be fixed in 4.2b SR-1 which is due to be released sometime today.
