Stand alone products

I can't yet afford to move up to Logos 4 from my antiquated 16-bit 2.1, but in the meantime I have preordered a soon-to-be-published Logos product at a significant savings. When the product is ready for distribution, will there be a way for me to use it as a stand-alone program? Thanks for your input.

Dean,
Welcome to the forums! You should be able to use the stand-alone L4 engine (available for free) to view your purchase. You can get it at:

You'll need to be sure your computer can handle Logos 4. Be sure to view: http://www.logos.com/support/techfaq
Logos 4 will run on a system with the specs listed but most of us would find those specs produce quite slow response. If you want more info, let us know what you are running right now.

Mark, would another option be just upgrade to the free Libronix engine?
Then he could use all of the old unlocks from Logos2 and any files that are still in Libronix formate.
Or is Logos not making any more Libroinx files for new products?
Just a though and a question.

My guess is that the files only work for L4, but perhaps a scan on ftp.logos.com would give the answer? Otherwise it sounds like a question for customer service.

I haven't had any resources not work on my Libronix that I've purchased so far. Indeed they work so nice, I mainly use them on Libronix with Logos4 as the staff-researcher. The one exception was the Logos LXX/MT interlinear that only works in Logos4 by intent to support L4 functionality.

AFAIK all Logos 4 resources are available in Libronix format. When we buy through Logos there is a download option for users of previous editions so one can get the Libronix compatible version. So Libronix is be a possibility. At least he could then synch his old 2.1 resources with Logos' servers and be able to use all his resources in Logos 4.
