Are Logos Bible Packages sold in stores? I'm going to New York next week and I was wondering if there are stores that sell them, such as J&R or Best Buy.
Thanks.

No, they aren't sold in stores. With the release of version 4, Logos only sells directly to the customer. (Prior to version 4, they had boxed products, but they changed their marketing strategy with version 4)
Wow that is quite disappointing, that means the only way to purchase it is by credit cards.
Thanks for your reply.
Or one other option is to buy a "pre-paid" card like from "Wal Mart" and whatever money you put on it...it has...and nothing more....thats a safe way to purchase online.
While Logos base packages are not sold in stores...Logos software can be found on many products including:
ISBN: 0830842799
ISBN: 0830824480
ISBN: 0830824804
ISBN: 1891175335
ISBN: 0814632467
This will give you version 3 only but it gets you it and you could download base 4 but would have no extras, if you are a macintosh user you would still need to download Logos 1.2.2 engine for use with Linbronix (3.0) items. The Mac engine is good but very limited, compared to Logos 4 which is windows and mac compatible.

Most every bank issues a debit card with a checking account. Or get a gift card from one. You certainly do not need credit cards to purchase online.

I never thought of that. That would be a problem for some in rural areas or foreign countries.

Is not a credit card required for processing even free resources acquired by download? This has been discussed in previous threads. I hope someday Logos can facilitate accounts we can pay into and carry a positive balance. For now I believe a customer must have a credit card to conduct any online transactions.
Matthew,
Yes...a "credit card" which could even be a prepaid card carrying a $5.00 balance..it makes no difference....it's just a number..
I know. But do all foreign countries now have pre-paid "VISA cash cards?" I don't know. I just assumed they don't. And many people in the USA live in tiny towns far from the money changer's tables..... Or do they sell those at gas stations now?
My son was stranded in the Denver airport for a few hours this week because I never told him you have to be 25 and have a credit card to rent a car. He thought cold cash still worked in America. Now he knows better.
Cash is dead. Just admit that. To do any sort of travel, like go on a plane, ride a cab, etc... You need a credit card, try to pay in cash will only send off a 'red flag' that you obtained that cash, or in the process of, in an illegal manner. It's sad, really, you can't be annomous anymore.
I've never had a problem using cash for a cab. In fact most cab drivers I've ridden with have preferred cash over credit cards. Don't know about planes - I've never had the need to take an anonymous flight and never wanted to carry that much cash on me just to buy a ticket.
I doubt cash will ever 'die' - it's used far too much for mundane things. Unfortunately (or rather it just is), the only way to buy online (aka digitized) products/services is to use digitized money (ie credit/debit/prepaid cards or paypal). I'm surprised Logos doesn't offer a paypal option - perhaps this is the next move for them?

Sorry to hear about your son, Matthew!
Just thought I'd share with you that as a Canadian, I think you live in a foreign country, eh? *smile*
Always Joy in the Lord!

Well, if you have access to a bank account Logos might be able to deduct payments from it if you get a package on a payment plan........But if you don't, then yes, it's be kind of disappointing. Of course, you could always ask someone to buy it for you with their credit card and you give them the money...I don't know if the website would allow you to have someone else's credit card though. Anyway, I'm sorry you're missing out on the best Bible software of all times.
Blessings!

Understood. [:D] But I still have residual effects from growing up outside of the United States. And modern American society looks quite foreign to what I remember as a child.
Another thought on exchange rates. If Logos could carry positive balances on our accounts deposits could be made when exchange rates are favorable and the headaches of when a Pre-Pub ships will be reduced to just frustrations.

Good Idea, Matthew! *smile*
And! As an added bonus, my family and friends could add to my account when Father's Day, my birthday, and Christmas come around!
