Book of Common Prayer

A while ago we received The Book of Common Prayer Lectionary for free. There were two different versions. I received them in Logos 4. I thought that I might try to download them to my Libronix 3 Library. I went to the Logos and found that they are free and added them to my Shopping cart. I then proceeded through the process and downloaded them for a previous version (ie Libronix 3). Everything seemed to work fine as the download process ran through. Then l I tried to find the books and alas they are not there. The titles show up in the account summary but not the resources files. Has anyone had a similar problem to this? As you can see I went through the process a second time and the same thing happened. I didn't receive a letter from Logos thanking me for my order as I usually do. Any Suggestions???

If you haven't done this yet, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Logos website and click on the Account link at the upper right, then the Orders tab.

    2. Find this order in your order history and click on its order number.

    3. Click on "Download Instructions for Previous Versions" to expand that section.

    4. Click Unlock and follow the instructions appropriate for Windows (I'm assuming it's windows since you said you've got Libronix 3).

If that doesn't completely do it for you, then in Libronix 3, try doing Tools > Library Management > Synchronize Licenses.

Failing that, it probably will require a call to Logos tech support. I noticed that the two files BCPDOLECT.lbxlls and BCPLECT.lbxlls are missing from the Logos FTP site (ftp://ftp.logos.com/LbxBooks/), so that might have something to do with it. Maybe these are among the very few new Logos 4 resources that they never back-released a Libronix 3 version of. In general, they do continue to support Libronix 3 with all new resources and will continue to do so for some time.

Thanks Rosie, I tried doing what you suggested but it still won't open the resources. I don't think that it has downloaded all of the necessary the files yet. You may be right regarding the files being in Libronix 3 format. I wonder if anyone have these 2 books working in Libronix format?

Ah, I found the problem. It's not going to work in Logos 3 for you, and here's why:
