Going Portable with L4

Hello:
I am looking to go portable with my L4 (currently on my desktop) and am toying with and iPad but also looking instead to a laptop because I understand that the iPad will be limited in functionality.
I like the iPad 'because' of the compactness and portability, the quick start, always on ability, etc... Looking for something similar in a full blown laptop and stumbled across the Macbook Air at under 3lbs and then found the following Samsung series 9 device...
http://www.samsung.com/us/series9-laptop/
Looks GREAT! The question I have is whether it will be powerful enough to properly run L4. If so, then I think I've found myself a laptop. If not, then I would prefer to know now before I go out and purchase it. I am trying to stay away from the bulkier laptops at over 3lbs but not sure if I will find a good mix of portability, instant on and power to run L4.
Any advice anyone can give would be greatly, greatly appreciated!
Lord bless.
David

MacBook Air Rumors => http://www.macrumors.com/2011/05/20/intel-preps-1-7ghz-and-1-8ghz-processors-suitable-for-next-macbook-air/

David said:Samsung specs look good, but noticed $ 1,649.99 price is bit higher than current MacBook Air models.
MacBook Air models were last refreshed in October 2010 => http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#MacBook_Air Wonder which will ship first: Mac OS X Lion or MacBook Air model refresh ?
Note: Apple has a refurbished 13" 2.13 GHz MacBook Air for $ 1,529 (with 256 GB SSD) => http://store.apple.com/us/product/G0JH0LL/A
Looking at http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist.2436.0.html noticed Samsung's 1.4 GHz i5 CPU is # 97 while Apple's 2.13 Core 2 Duo (L9600) is # 125. Cinebench R10 benchmark shows 1.4 GHz i5 is 37 % faster, but SuperPI benchmark shows 2.13 GHz Core 2 Duo is 31 % faster, hence performance varies based on usage. Apologies, not know benchmark correlation with Logos 4 usage.
Mac processor benchmarks => http://www.primatelabs.ca/geekbench/mac-benchmarks/ (noticed 4.5 pound 13" MacBook Pro about twice as fast as MacBook Air).

I just purchased a netbook from BestBuy -3GB DDR# ;Pentium Dual Core Processor; 320GB HDD; 11.6" HD LED LCD; weighs 3lb; 3 USB ports; HDMI. only 399
So far it works great and its easy to carry. I added a disc drive and a mouse, so it is just like my home computer. I have an iPad and am going to give it to my wife - didn't really like to use it.
Just my 2 cents
