OT Update after Donna's Surgery
What should have been a (relatively) simple surgery (if you can consider a total hip replacement "simple") we spent six days in the ICU. I don't think (even now) that Donna ever realized the extent of the medical concerns. However, after six units of blood (probably should have had two more) and as they weaned her off of the Dopamine, her BP came up, and her pulse rate stabilized.
She was sent to the surgery recovery ward and that evening the Physical Therapist on the floor had her walking 32 feet. The next morning she walked 132 feet, and that second afternoon she was walking 250 plus feet. After that they moved her to the rehab unit in the hospital.
She made excellent progress (with her surgery recovery) but her blood count is still low. She's supposed to be between 12 and 16 (whever they are measuring) and she was 9.2, then 9.9, then back down to 9.3 when they released her on Saturday.
She spent the weekend in OKC with our daughter (we wanted her closer than 90 miles away from the hospital in case something came up), but she came home to Henryetta, OK last night.
We certainly appreciate all the prayers that came her way. This is an awesome group here in the testing section, and I know that your support was vital to her recovery. Thanks again, to each and everyone of you, ever so much. Blessings to you and yours.
Dale
P.S. Bob, and team -- I do apologize for not being able to be as attentive these last few days of the testing cycle as I would have wished for. But, congratulations on the roll out of 4.0
Blessings,
Dale Durnell

Dale,
We certainly are glad that after a difficult time Donna is doing so much better. We will continue to pray for her recovery and the elevation of her blood count.

Dale, so relieved to hear how well things are going, still praying they'll get even better.
