Hi Dave
Thank you for the continued hard work. I love the the monthly updates. I just wanted to know if a fix was in the works for the
"error loading book" "Logos could not load the specified book" when touching intra-book links in downloaded books and streaming/online books? Also how do you configure the new reading plan reminder? Thanks again for all your help. God bless you my brother.

It can sometimes take a few hours to become available in the app store for everyone.
I'm not aware of any issues with links in this release.
Reading plan reminders are automatic. Once you access a reading plan in the app, you'll be reminded if you fall a day behind.

Thanks for the quick response. Since the past 3 releases I have lost the ability to go from the SDA commentary volume to other SDA commentary volume or any of the E.G White books when clicking a link. I either get a spinning wheel or I get the "cannot open book" message. I tried to post a picture of the message but could not. Please try it on your iPhone and see what happens. The bible links work it's just the links to other volumes of the sda commentary and to the E.G White books that do not work. Please please if you can fix this would help me in my studies. It made life so much easier.
Thanks again.0 -
Active reference is where you tap
What's the point of this improvement?
It would be nicer if you can tap on a Bible verse on one side of the screen and the commentary on the other half of the screen automatically jumps to the comments for that verse.

I agree with Peter. While reminders are nice (I can do them from a calendar) I would much rather have my books stay synced to the same verse. I don not like changing a verse in the Bible and then have to manually change the commentary. This seems like a no-brainer from the users side.[:P]

Well, I already like the New TAP feature before using Passage Guide, as it gets my target verse directly set, rather than lots of left or right arrows to see it the old way. But I too would love to see someway to request/force a linked panel to redraw. At present if the verse or part of the verse is already on the linked window, it does not reposition. If TAP also triggered on panel A triggered. redraw on A linked panel B, that would be cool. Even better, if there was a way to run with linking OFF, but request a one-off reposition as required. Thanks for the ongoing improvements.

Tapping the splitter will sync the secondary pane to the reference at the top of the active pane.

1. This feature as designed is really non-intuitive and hard to discover.
2. The splitter is a very narrow area to tap with a finger. Many times the app interprets the action as a page turn on either the left or the right panel.
3. Even when I am able to tap on the splitter, it only works sporadically. First couple times it seems to work (syncs the inactive pane to the active verse). Then after that it would do nothing usually.
4. After trying this feature either successfully or unsuccessfully a dozen or more times, the app starts to act unpredictably. E.g. Regular page turn would no longer sync up the inactive panel (linking turned on all the time); I've also seen the reference box being blank even when I'm tapping on a specific bible verse. Have also seen the inactive panel being synced to the wrong verse.
Would be nice if this feature is easier to use, easier to discover, and works more reliably.
Note: tested with iPad 1, landscape mode locked, Chinese Union Version (CUV) Bible on the left pane, and Courson's Application Commentary OT Volume 1 (Genesis-Job) on the right pane. Testing feature behavior around Genesis chapters 14-15.0 -

I believe it means that if you have a Bible open, for example, and it says Ephesians 2:8 and you tap once (or twice) on verse 2, the reference box changes to Ephesians 2:2 . What I would call the reference box in L4 is called the active reference in the iPad app.
(for newbies, once you have the verse in the reference box your interested in by tapping, then access the passage guide or text comparison at the top of the window with the plus sign. It will use the verse you tapped, but if you go to the passage guide or text comparison at the bottom of the window, it will use the same reference that it had last time.)

any timeline for notes, highlighting, and prayer lists?

Highlighting and notes are coming very soon for both the Logos and Vyrso mobile applications. We're presently behind the other mobile eBook readers in that area, but when we release we'll suddenly be miles ahead. :-)
You'll have the power of Logos 4's highlighting and notes, including the graphical highlight styles and the ability to have multiple note files. And, soon, the ability to share your notes and highlights with groups, or the whole world.
Hopefully Bob's "very soon" is in line with our "very soon!"
