Ok, if I find books or sets that I want can I get discounts on top of the price listed on the web by calling someone vs simply ordering on the web?  Just curious, trying to save money.

Thanks

    That depends on many factors.

    • It may depend on you: students in academic institutions may qualify for special prices
    • It may depend on the time of the year: there are large sales on Christmas and in March
    • It may depend on your social networking habits: there are facebook fan specials, twitter specials etc
    • It may depend on where you look: some third-party resources may be cheaper at their original publisher, or at other places - maybe only for short periods
    • It may depend on the size of your order: sales-reps may be able to give you discounts if you spend lots of money in one go
    • It may depend on your prior buying history: good customers may sometimes get special treatment, and also if a package you want to buy contains resources you already have, sales reps may be able to make an upgrade price
    • It may depend on the publisher of the resource: some are notable for setting price limits that Logos can't undercut

Overall, some forum posters claim it's always worth wile to give it a try and call Sales, others look around and take opportunity when it comes.
