PBB: Need a way to "Copy as PBB source" from a Logos resource to paste in Word

I know this probably belongs in the Suggestions forum, but as PBB is currently still under development for 4.3 I think it might get quicker attention here, and it could possibly be addressed in the current wave of work:

There's a whole category of PBBs that could be built up out of pieces from other books in one's library. PBBs will work faster than clippings and have some capabilities that clippings don't have. I for one have been using a clippings file to keep a global table of contents of the whole Early Church Fathers series, but it is woefully slow. I'd like to make a PBB out of it. However, it will be a daunting task to create all the tagging necessary in Word. What I'd like to be able to do is copy/paste from the TOCs in each of the volumes into Word using a new "Copy as PBB source" option, which would automatically convert all the links in Logos into appropriate syntax for links in the Word doc, so that when it's compiled back into a PBB they work as links. How hard would this be?

That is very interesting suggestion Rosie. If I take it further, you could than copy any text into the notes and then save it as a PBB source file.

With my idea, you wouldn't need to copy it into notes or clippings first, just copy/paste directly into Word and then compile it as a PBB. But I suppose that could be problematic as people might try to steal the content of a Logos book and share it around as a PBB (once we see how PBB sharing is going to be implemented).

If it doesn't happen, I'm still planning to do all the work to make my TOC for ECF, though. I really have been wanting this.

i am guessing that Bohuslav wants to make a PBB out of large note files that he has.

EDIT: there are several L4 users who have very large note files and it slows down L4. This might be a mechanism to transfer them to a PBB and release the note file, thus speeding up their L4 experience. Nice idea Rosie!

You are right Steve. But actually I can do it by saving it as a Word docx file. However if we have a function to save it with all PBB tagging ready, it would be great.

I've already posted a sample page of the PBB index I am making that includes all early church writings including the ECF

This isn't a bad idea, but I don't think it needs to be added to to GUI when the functionality almost already exists. All it would need would be an option to convert a clippings file into a PBB. I would image it would be easy to convert a clippings file into Logos native format, without needing to transform it into a Word document first.
