This thing has been running for over 15 hours.
I have the Scholars addition for Mac—no add ons, just a vanilla
install . My machine is pretty fast
(2.4ghz Core Duo/4GB RAM) and it's been running for a while—I mean a long while. I bought the software at 10AM CST yesterday
and let machine run in my office. The
thing ran all night long then decided to download 5.8GB from some website. Cool, I thought this is going to be over
soon, after all it was running since yesterday.
Then, the indexer decided to kick off again! It just stopped an hour ago, where I was
informed that there were more updates.
More Updates? What do you mean
more updates? Now, the software is
downloading .5GB worth of data.
When is this going to be over with? How long will this upgrade take?
Starting to question whether my money spent is worth the aggravation
of a software version that shouldn't have been released to the public (I write
enterprise software for living and my users would be ticked if they experienced
this). I’ve called support and no one is
answering the phones.
Is anyone else having these problems? I understand the time it takes to index data,
but this is ridiculous.
