Looks like there is a problem with the EEC shipping. I wondered if anybody has gotten it yet and what they think about it. Customer Service says it may take up to a week to get it shipped.
Not so much a problem...just a lot of work involved due to the number of pre-pub orders combined with the complexities of the various payment plans. They are making it out though...several people have said they've gotten theirs.
EDIT: I'm still waiting on mine at this point [:)]
Granted, I was on one of the more "extended" payment plans, but I haven't seen any forum threads on what people thought about it.
[:-*] It is rare someone asks for my opinion in the forums. (Usually they tell me to keep it to myself.)
I figure if I have to wait until 2019 to get the last volume, a few extra days waiting on the first volume won't hurt. If I were in charge of prioritizing the delivery schedule I would start with the full payment purchases and work downward by charge amount. That would fill company coffers with cash, - always a good thing. [C]
Thank you for asking, David.

It is probably good that I am a patient fisherman. I saw it was released on the 1st and I just waited patiently until it was processed. I saw a post where they said there were many orders and it might take a couple days so I waited patiently. My order was processed yesterday and I got the first volume. I have not looked it over yet, but will in the next week or so. I am not currently studing Ezra or Nehemiah so I have no need of the commentary yet. But in about 10 days or so I'll open it and check it out.
Matthew-- I have no doubt you are correct on the full purchase price, and I legitimately would like to have opinions of some Logos veterans on these forums to get their idea as to if it is the product it has been billed to be. I personally believe it will be. That said... if I had had some of the controversy surrounding this pre-pub (as a "for-profit company") I think I would have done everything I could to meet customer expectations about shipping on a date that was put out to the customers...[^o)]

I just got it last night, but I compared the comments on Ezra 7:6-10 of the EEC to the WBC. Very similar in both length (amount of words) and technicality. The EEC is more conservative than the WBC in that it is more interested in commenting on the text as it stands than speculating on potential editing of the text. I am quite pleased with this volume and if all the authors do as good a job as Israel Loken, this series will be a steal at the pre-pub price.
Justin--thanks for your comments, that sounds very promising...DAB
